A Dynamic School Life
Student life at Merion Mercy involves much more than academics! Our commitment to character-development, community-building, and growth in mind, body, and soul ensures plenty of experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom.
Events That Create Lasting Memories
From Mercy Day to Weenie Roast, Mixers, Hops and Prom, our calendar is full of opportunities to socialize, express yourself, and share special moments with family and friends. We also partner with other schools for many events, with students from St. Joe's Prep, Malvern Prep, Devon Prep and LaSalle College High School (to name just a few).
Whether we’re singing together on Carol Night or busting a move at our annual Father/Daughter Dinner Dance, we believe it’s moments like these that keep us all energized, excited and feeling like part of one big family.
More Clubs and Activities than Other Schools
With more than 70 extracurricular activities to choose from, you’re bound to find something (or several things!) to pique your interest.
In addition to our many sports teams, we offer opportunities for students to pursue their interests through spiritual programs, clubs, service activities, and leadership opportunities. We believe that it’s through extracurricular activities, liturgies, field trips, holiday celebrations, traditions, and assemblies, that talents are discovered, friendships are made, and holistic education is achieved.
Support at Every Step
A key element of our sisterhood is that you never have to go it alone. Our guidance program (encompassing our mentor, advisory and counseling services) ensures that students have support from their first day at school. We consider this an essential part of helping students grow in confidence and realizing their self-worth.
Leading in Every Way
Empowering women is part of our Mercy DNA, so we provide endless opportunities for girls to assume leadership positions and build their confidence in just about every activity. Our girls are active in nine National Honor societies, and many Student Council initiative programs that better our school and contribute to improved student life at every grade level.
At Merion Mercy, students are guided to understand that service isn’t just about doing a good deed; it’s about living a values-centered life. Our girls put mercy in action every day, within the school, local and global communities, from Campus Ministry to Mercy Mission Corps.
"This is a place where you will be welcomed, loved, noticed and valued for who you are and what you contribute to our school as a whole."
