Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service has become a treasured experience among alumnae and their families. For the past seven years at MMA, the day has marked a time to reflect and take action by serving with our community in a variety of ways.
Although this year will look a bit different, we would like to continue this tradition and invite you to a virtual gathering on January 18 from 10-11 a.m. that will include a moment of prayer, then a lesson on diversity and anti-racism for the younger members of our Merion community—children ages 4 to 8 years of age.
If you would like to join the presentation on January 18, please register here.
The Alumnae Association is also joining with the student-run HEART club to collect coats, hats, gloves, and face masks. (Face masks should be new.) These items will be donated to One Warm Coat and Bethesda Project. A box will be placed outside the front doors of school for all donations from January 18 until January 25. Feel free to use this as a contactless way to provide outreach to others and service to our community.
