Supporting MMA

A gift to Merion can take many forms, but they all have the same impact–strengthening the quality of the Mercy education available to our students. Whether it is a financial contribution to the MMAnnual Fund to support the greatest needs of the school, a restricted gift to one of our many scholarship funds to provide crucial support for our many deserving students, or a donation via our annual auction or through the Pennsylvania tax credit programs, each  donation impacts the financial opportunities and experiences available to our students. Every gift, no matter the size, sustains and grows the quality of the Mercy Education and helps put Merion Mercy's strongest foot forward.

The 2021-22 fiscal year kicked-off on July 1 and we are excited to embark on a new journey with the MMA community. If you would like more information or to know more ways you can get involved, we welcome your outreach!

Ways to Give

MMAnnual Fund

The MMAnnual Fund is the most important gift that you can make to Merion Mercy Academy.  These financial gifts will impact the day-to-day learning opportunities of our students and teachers.  A healthy Annual Fund will allow our students to have greater opportunities both inside and outside the classroom and will give our teachers the necessary tools to create better learning environments for our students.

If you are thinking of making a gift today and want it to reach a student–give to this fund. An unrestricted annual fund gift of any amount has the greatest impact on the daily lives of our students and teachers.

It is only because of the generosity of alumnae, parents, and friends that Merion Mercy Academy is able continue our mission of educating young women. Click here to make a gift to the MMAnnual Fund.

Pennsylvania (PA) Tax Credit Programs (for Businesses and Individuals)

Would you like to control how your Pennsylvania tax dollars are spent? Through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) program, individuals and businesses can pay their PA state taxes directly to Merion Mercy to be used for financial aid.

Individuals and businesses in Pennsylvania will receive up to a 90% tax credit by donating to MMA through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. By directing tax dollars you or your business will already be paying, you are helping Merion Mercy provide financial aid to qualifying students.

A Planned Gift leaves a lasting legacy for future generations.  Planned or deferred gifts are designed to help our donors enhance their estate planning, tax planning, investment and retirement needs while also ensuring the future of MMA.
