Arts and Culture
This concentration prepares students to inform, persuade, educate, and engage through the creative use of visual arts, performing arts, and/or languages. Coursework, co-curricular activities and internships will provide a balance of theory and practice through real-world applications. This concentration is divided into three focus areas. Students select one of these focus areas.

Active participation and/or leadership with one of the following: Image Explosion, Ricordia, Meriannal (moderator(s) must attest to the student’s active participation and responsible completion of the tasks required).

Create and print a series of posters promoting the service programs (ex; National Art Honor Society, Mercy Mission Corps)

Research, write and produce a video for in-house broadcast promoting a service club or organization, addressing a topic of relevance to the community, or relating to one of the Mercy Core Values.

Under the guidance of the Dean and Student Council moderators, write and produce a series of videos for freshmen orientation on topical issues to ease them into the community.
