Do you have a great photo that showcases a great "Merion moment"? If so, please email your photo to Kristina Cawley at kcawley@merion-mercy.com. Head of School Dear Merion Mercy Community,
I dusted off my Trivial Pursuit board game from 1989 and have been tuning into Jeopardy these past few nights, so indulge me for a few moments with some Q and A—Merion style.
Question: What is one of the most treasured Merion Mercy traditions that dates back more than 75 years? Answer: The Harvest Moon, which made its debut in the 1940s, and continues to be a time-honored and memorable event for students. We look forward to the Harvest Moon this Saturday (stars, fire pits, food truck, and s'mores included!).
Question: Other than students, who else can have some fun this weekend? Answer: Parents and caregivers will at this Friday's Trivia Night! I hope to see many of you for what promises to be a wonderful night out. Plus, winners take home some terrific prizes and bragging rights until next year!
Parents and caregivers, do you have any Merion Mercy questions on your mind? If so, I invite you to join me at our next Coffee and Conversation, slated for October 22, and bring any questions you might have. I look forward to connecting then, or anytime, to share ideas with valued members of our community
Until then, allow poet Humbert Wolf set the stage for a festive weekend at MMA, "The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves. We have had our summer evenings; now for October eves!"

Uniforms and Dress Code
Beginning on Monday, November 1, the winter uniform will go into effect. As we welcome the arrival of colder weather, please take the next few weeks to prepare for this change in the school dress code. Click here for more information on uniforms.
Students have done a fabulous job continuing to rise to the expectation of storing belongings in their lockers and respecting the spaces in which they are eating. Students were made aware at Community Space that beginning Tuesday, October 12 (since there is no school on Monday), they are not to wear sweatshirts during the school day. Seniors are still allowed to wear a college sweatshirt or Merion sweatshirt on Fridays (no other day). Otherwise, students are unable to wear sweatshirts during the school week— please reference this visual for reference on what is acceptable for students to wear to keep warm and be comfortable during the day. Students are aware that there will be a touchpoint regarding their progress and any next steps with sweatshirts and dress code in two weeks during Community Space on October 21. Parents Association Registration Deadline Is Fast Approaching
We'd hate for you to miss out on all the fun of Trivia Night on October 15. Our host Casey Fosbenner P'24 promises a fun night of community, camaraderie, and friendly competition, so gather your friends and register here ASAP: registration closes on Tuesday, October 12!
We'll play six rounds of trivia in the MMA Gym. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and trivia will start at 7:30 p.m. Please remember that this is an adults-only, BYO-food-and-beverage event. It's a great opportunity to come into school and meet other parents and caregivers at a fun, casual event.
Due to COVID-19 precautions, we do ask that you wear a mask except while actively eating or drinking, and we are limiting teams to eight people. So pull your team together or let us seat you with other MMA parents or with a specific group. But don't delay! Brush up on your trivia and register here by Tuesday!
