Office of Academic Affairs Dear MMA Families,
From these survey responses and personal emails, a few things have become very clear:
If you have not yet taken the parent survey, I invite you to do so: Mobile Merion Mercy Parent Survey.
We have extended the deadline to register for summer courses until April 10, 2020. Please click here to review our course options and registration process.
Click here for the new schedule.
Please note that since we are off on Easter Monday, the week of April 12 will run a modified schedule. This will allow every class to meet twice a week. Click here for the schedule for the week of April 12.
MCIU services are still provided while we operate in Mobile Merion Mercy. Jenifer Major and Jeremy Lampert sent emails to parents and students last week. (A letter was also sent to the families from the MCIU director.) The team will email students the morning of their day of service asking students to email them with any assignments with which they need assistance prior to the session. In addition, students will receive a Zoom link to work with the team when they would like 1:1 assistance with a specific assignment on their day of service.
If students need any help with technology, please contact Ms. Anne Foley, Director of Instructional Technology, at afoley@merion-mercy.com.
The Academic Board has been meeting weekly to review and update our online program. Under these most unusual circumstances, the Academic Board has decided to cancel final exams for this school year. While students will not be taking final exams, students will continue to engage in formative and summative assessments via Mobile Merion Mercy. Letter grades will still be given at the end of this semester.
Warm regards,
Ms. Valerie Pruncnal Office of Student Affairs Dear MMA Families,
We share complex feelings of uncertainty, disappointment, and anxiety about unwanted disruption to our routines. Partnering in Mercy together, we can and will remain strong through stress.
While different and dynamically evolving, these steps have become reliable features of our new engagement. Importantly, they are means for Merion educators to know and better address the individual challenges confronting our students.
To advance our efforts in health and wellness, we have curated several self-care resources for families and students that we posted on Mobile Merion Mercy. Please visit the webpage often as it is updated regularly.
As we navigate this difficult situation, I trust that we will grow united in community and Mercy with a hopeful sense of peace.
