Major Dates for the 2020-2021 School Year
Looking ahead to the 2020-2021 school year, we would like to share the major dates calendar for the following school year. Click here to view. We hope this will help you plan your calendar. In addition to the dates listed here, we will have regular events that get scheduled each year. These have not yet been finalized. When they are, the complete calendar will be shared with you and posted on the website.
Immersive Climate Study
As part of our school's foundational work to begin the strategic planning process, we will conduct an immersive climate study led by Trina Gary of Brown-Gary Associates, LLC.
Ms. Gary will visit campus January 29-31 and February 3 to meet with different groups to provide us with a professional, objective analysis of ourselves in light of our desire to be a diverse, inclusive and welcoming community. The results of the study will provide data to promote growth as we strive to "Live Mercy and Seek Justice." The study will also enable us to chart a strategic direction that meets the needs of our students, both today and in the future.
We have scheduled a meeting for under-represented parent groups at Merion as well as a meeting for all parents in our community.
Meetings will all take place in Meeting Room 257, upstairs near the art gallery. Parents do not need to register to attend. Please park in the parking lots near the back of the school and enter through the rear door.

Lunch & Learn
MMA has graduated incredible women over the years who are doing amazing things in their careers. This year, Merion Mercy has launched Lunch & Learn sessions to further connect our alumnae community with current students. Lunch & Learn is a time for students to learn from recent MMA graduates who will share their stories and answer questions about their career paths. There are two more sessions planned for the school year: Tuesday, January 28 and Tuesday, March 24. Please encourage students to register for one or more! The alum guest on January 28 will be Dr. Kaitlyn Kennard '08. Click here to learn more about the January 28 event and/or refer your daughter to www.merion-mercy.com/lunchandlearn to register.
Dinner Dance
This year's Dinner Dance will be held at the Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill, PA on Friday, January 31 from 7 to 11 p.m. for all students, their fathers, and/or other father figures and caregivers in their lives. This annual event features fellowship, food, and fun with live music and memory-making. Details about this inclusive, exciting MMA tradition (including cost, menu, and RSVP instructions) were sent to parents, caregivers, and students via email earlier this week. We look forward to hosting an enjoyable event!

If so, please join Coach Tony Mattson and MMA Athletics for a parents/caregivers meeting on Sunday, January 26 in the Dining Commons from 1 to 2 p.m. Even if your daughter is still deciding, please consider attending and learning more about this extraordinary program!
