ALUMNAE NEWSLETTER

Hello MMA Alumnae,

The Merion Mercy school year has been off to a great start. The school welcomed a freshman class of 126; they now stand tall on the shoulders of the thousands of impressive women who have attended MMA.

Please click here to read recent news stories and click here to view photos from the start of the school year. In the coming weeks, students look forward to the 74th annual Harvest Moon dance and the time-honored Weenie Roast.

The Alumnae Association is doing great work too.  Led by the new slate of Executive Officers, Maria Jose Morinigo '90, Michelle Williams '96, and Meagan Sloan '06 (Chair), and the Advisory Committee members, advanced planning has begun on events as well as programs, such as updated networking initiatives that will roll out in 2019.

We look forward to seeing you soon at the spot we love so well.

Warm Regards,

Barbara Colantuono Harrison '82
Alumnae Relations Coordinator

Attention Alumnae Veterans
We would like to be sure we have all MMA alumnae who served in the United States Armed Forces recorded with their years of service and branch in our database.

MMA's Student Council is leading a salute to "MMA in the Service" for Veteran's Day. The community would like to display pictures of alums (preferably in uniform), their specialty in the service, their Merion Mercy graduation year, and the college that they graduated from (unless, of course, they enlisted, which will be noted).

If you are an alumna who is serving/has served, please contact Barbara Colantuono Harrison '82 at 610-664-6644 ext. 120 or bharrison@merion-mercy.com, with your information and, if possible, a photo.

International Day of the Girl

Since 2012, October 11 has been marked as the International Day of the Girl. The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face, while promoting girls' empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. This year's theme focuses on preparing girls for the workforce. We stand with girls everywhere and are proud of our MMA girls with dreams who become women of purpose. Click here to see a few MMA examples.
