2025-26 Varsity Golf

Formed in 2003, the Merion Mercy Academy golf team allows student-athletes to develop technique, focus, and confidence in a sport that rewards patience and precision.

Golf is a game that never allows perfection, inviting players to approach each round with humility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn something new. Every hole becomes a lesson in self-discipline. Through this continual process of growth, players develop not only as golfers, but as thoughtful leaders and teammates—prepared to meet challenges with confidence both on and off the green.

Maggie Farrell '11
Head Coach, Golf

Maggie Farrell ’11 returned to her alma mater in 2022 to lead the Merion Mercy golf program. As a former Merion athlete and lifetime golfer, Coach Farrell brings a deep belief that golf is far more than a sport, it's an opportunity to foster belonging, responsibility, and personal growth.

Prior to her time at Merion, Coach Farrell spent seven years with First Tee—an international youth development organization—using the game to build character and confidence in young people across Washington, DC and Philadelphia. She is a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and now lives in Philadelphia where she enjoys exploring the city’s many neighborhoods and spending time reading.

Coach Farrell recently joined the vibrant community of Mercy Associates, continuing to deepen her commitment to Mercy, justice, and the values that shaped her as a student and now guide her as a coach.
