Yes. Because a family's financial circumstances can change, the Office of Financial Assistance requires that a new application be submitted annually. Clarity retains your core information from previous years, making the renewal process significantly faster than the initial application.

Both prospective and current families may apply for financial aid through Clarity.

We understand that unexpected hardships occur, and our commitment to our families remains strong. If you experience a significant financial shift mid-year, please contact the Office of Financial Assistance immediately to discuss your circumstances. While funding is allocated annually, we will do our best to guide and support you through unexpected hardships.

The Clarity Application determines demonstrated financial need based upon a combination of factors, including but not limited to, family income, expenses, assets, debt, family size, and discretionary spending. Our Financial Assistance Committee reviews each application with great care, guided by our commitment to the thoughtful stewardship of resources to make final award decisions.

Financial assistance awards are made on a yearly basis. Families requesting financial assistance are required to submit applications each year. Families are encouraged to inform the school if their financial circumstances change. Your initial financial assistance package will remain the same unless your financial circumstances substantially change.

The goal of the Office of Financial Assistance is to gather a complete and accurate financial picture from all parties involved. Merion Mercy Academy requires that divorced, separated, or remarried parents submit the information of both biological parents and step-parents, when applicable. This also applies to guardians of students other than the biological parent or step-parents, including but not limited to, grandparents or other relatives.

Financial assistance will be considered only after reviewing the financial resources of both parents, step-parents, or other guardians, as applicable.

Merion Mercy Academy carefully reviews each family’s unique financial circumstances. Financial assistance is awarded with the expectation that families will utilize their available resources to the fullest extent possible to contribute toward their daughter’s education.

Financial assistance is not guaranteed and is subject to the limited availability of funds. Students may be offered admission but not financial assistance, even though the Clarity Application was submitted.

Traditionally intended for college tuition, recent tax reforms enable families to disperse up to $10,000 from 529 accounts to pay for private school tuition.

The Office of Financial Assistance treats all applications, financial documentation, and award decisions with the utmost confidentiality. We respect your family's privacy and expect families to maintain the same level of confidentiality regarding their awards.

Merion Mercy Academy does not offer athletic scholarships. Merion Mercy Academy is a member of the PIAA, which does not allow member schools to offer athletic scholarships.
