Merion Mercy Academy girls have the opportunity to participate in a variety of signature programs designed for students in grades 9-12 to apply and expand their knowledge and skills. We lay the groundwork for ambitious young women to step into their greatest potential.

Diploma with Distinction

The Diploma with Distinction builds upon Merion Mercy’s core values, puts mission in action, and delivers lasting student impact. Through this personalized and transformative learning program, juniors and seniors uncover their passions and develop essential 21st century skills.

STEM at MMA

We prepare young women for the careers of the future with advanced math and science courses and offerings in coding, robotics, media design, forensics and environmental sustainability. Our Discovery and Design Studio is a hub for innovation and creativity and our Howley Center for Science and Innovation fosters a dynamic environment for hands-on experimentation and inquiry-based exploration.

Economics & Entrepreneurship

Merion Mercy offers this dual enrollment course through the University of Delaware. The goal is to equip students to thrive amidst rapid change by cultivating agile thinking and developing creative problem solving skill sets. Students can also earn college credit.

Arts & Music

In addition to tuition scholarships in the fine arts and music, dedicated students can choose to major in the visual or performing arts beginning their sophomore year. Art graduates garner important skills that will last their entire lives.

Diocesan Scholars

As juniors, exceptional students are nominated to participate in the Diocesan Scholars program. As seniors, they may take, free of charge, two college courses each semester on the campus of a local Catholic college or university.

Experiential Learning

Serving others—through our Mercy Mission Corps—is just one example of how Mercy girls learn by doing. In addition, our young women grow in global awareness and cultural competency through extended trips to places like the UK, Italy, and Ireland.
