Sip ‘n Bid Guests Experience a Magical Evening

On November 19, 2022, Merion Mercy Academy celebrated its 46th annual Sip ‘n Bid, the school’s largest social fundraiser of the year. With the theme “Believe in the Magic,” the evening featured catering by “Feast Your Eyes,” led by Female Chef of the Year Lynn Buono; entertainment by the Merion Handbell Choir; the emcee talents of alumna and PHL17 meteorologist Monica Tassoni Cryan ‘06; plus hundreds of silent and live auction items including Merion Mercy spirit gear, home items, golf experiences, sports packages and memorabilia, and much more. As Director of Development Stacy Gallagher said, “It’s an evening celebrating our Merion community with familiar faces and new friends.”

Nearly 230 alumnae, current and former parents, faculty, staff and friends enjoyed the festivities, which raised over $100,000. Merion Mercy students and teachers are the direct beneficiaries of the evening as all funds raised are put to immediate use to support important updates and improvements throughout the school.

Recognizing the generosity of the MMA community, Head of School Marianne Grace thanked the event’s many volunteers. “It takes countless hours of hard work and extraordinary effort to accomplish the goals of this spectacular evening. The commitment of our volunteers does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated,” she said.
