MMA Teams Win STEM Competition

Merion Mercy took first and second place at the High School SAP Simulation at West Chester University. The STEM competition, called ERPsim, simulates a virtual market and uses SAP software to manage a supply chain, similar to how employees around the world use it every day. Each participant took on a particular role in the company throughout the simulation: either a Marketer (who adjusts prices based on how well the product is selling and compares it to other businesses), an Inventory Specialist (who monitors stock levels) or a Purchasing Agent (who generates and processes purchase orders).

All 15 students from MMA performed exceptionally, including first place winners (sophomores Abigail Adamczyk, Siena Sandoz, Emily Powel, and Maggie Dowd), and our second place winners (Lauren McCormick '25, Lindsey Lyons '25, Ryan Master '24, and Sameeha Ershad '24). Math teacher Deanna Crawford and Science teacher and STEM Club moderator Benjamin York accompanied the girls, who competed against teams from Notre Dame and String Theory.
