MMA Senior Student-Athletes Recognized

Merion Mercy Academy recently recognized outstanding senior student-athletes who have excelled in both academics and athletics. 

Among the awards presented were the Scholar-Athlete Award, which was given to Marianne Cheely for her exceptional achievements in both areas.

The Coaches’ Awards were presented to Anne McGovern and Lily Denn, who have been recognized by their coaches and teammates for their determination and dedication. 

Margaret Iannone and Olivia Currier received the Christian Athlete Awards for their ability to embody the best qualities of athletic competition.

The Varsity Sports Awards were presented to Kerry McCormick, Caitlyn Gregitis, Simone Waheed, and Caroline Szlachta, who have consistently demonstrated exceptional talent and drive in their respective sports.

The Senior Athlete Award was given to Mary Katherine Gray, a beloved member of her team who has shown unwavering dedication and leadership throughout her time at Merion Mercy Academy. Mary Kate was also inducted into the exclusive Blue and Gold Club, reserved for elite MMA athletes who have made an indelible mark on their respective sports. 

Dedication Awards were presented to Annemarie Conway, Annelise Fresta, Julia Richardson, Morgan Williamson, and Sara Wimmer, who have constantly displayed exemplary spirit, dedication, and service to their fellow athletes and coaches.

Finally, Kathryn Wert was honored with the Golden Bear Spirit Award for her undying enthusiasm and passion for Merion Mercy Academy athletics. Congratulations to all the award winners on their outstanding achievements!
