On November 19, 2024, family and friends gathered in the Convent chapel to celebrate the 116 National Honor Society members at Merion Mercy Academy, including the newest four seniors and 59 juniors who were inducted this year. To be considered for NHS membership, students must have earned an unrounded cumulative GPA of 3.60 or higher, as well as submit a robust application reflecting the NHS pillars: character, leadership, scholarship, and service. Those applications are reviewed by the NHS Council, which is composed of faculty, staff, and administration who ensure that each new member fulfills all requirements.
Serving as the event's alumna speaker was Dr. Colleen Bennett '06, Director of the CARE Clinics at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
The NHS moderator is Science Teacher Dr. Shana Hogg.
