
Support MMA
The institutional advancement office advances the mission and activities of Merion Mercy Academy through a comprehensive program of marketing, fund solicitation, and public relations. All school-related fundraising programs are funneled through the advancement office including drives, fundraising events and the annual appeal. Additionally, the advancement office solicits and tracks major gifts, bequests, gifts of stock, and gifts-in-kind.
Public relations efforts are part of the advancement program. Regular press releases are prepared and sent to local media sources. Every six weeks during the school year, parents receive the Communique, which is an informational newsletter designed to keep parents abreast of news items and school announcements.
The office publishes school's formal newsletter, Mater Matters, which includes information for alums, parents, and friends of MMA. The newsletter will be released and mailed twice a year.
Special events, fundraising activities and alumnae relations are part of the advancement office's work. Each year the school alumnae and parents organize an annual auction called Sip n' Bid. This auction is generally the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving weekend. Work on the auction begins in March the year before.
