Media Center

The Media Center at Merion Mercy Academy occupies one side of the Social Studies corridor, connecting to the computer lab via the communications room, from which students broadcast daily announcements and special programs. With a collection of more than 10,000 materials- including books, DVDs, periodicals, online databases, and much more - the  Media Center offers a range of resources for research and class work.  Students may access 8 PC workstations or use their  ID cards to  check out laptops that they may use in the Media Center or communications room.

The mission of the Media Center is to provide learning support and library instruction to teachers and students and to assist students in becoming effective researchers. Library personnel are available to help individual students before, during and after regular school hours, and are eager to assist students with research, citations, and book selections. The library media specialist is also available to visit classrooms to help guide students in the research process. The goal of the media center staff is that every MMA student will graduate being able to conduct effective research and evaluate sources and information. The Media Center eBoard and Wiki provide valuable information that students can access in school or off campus.
